Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2013)

starts from Feb 6, 2013 for admission to postgraduate courses conducted by Anna University on behalf of Government of Tamil Nadu commencing in the year 2013. The courses are offered in: 

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) 
2. Master of Computer Application (MCA) 
3. Master of Technology (M.Tech) 
4. Master of Engineering (ME)
5. Master in Architecture (M.Arch) 
6. Master in Planning (M.Plan)

 Eligible critaria:

Eligibility Requirements for MBA

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

Eligibility Requirements for MCA

A pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

Eligibility Requirements for ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan

TANCET Application Form is common for all above three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application. The candidates have to pay a fee of 500/- . 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate in card format).

If a candidate desires to appear for more than one Programme  for every additional Programme  he has to pay ` 500/- (` 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil nadu).

Registration for Tancet 2013

Registration in person:

Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who come in person to the following Co-ordination Centers with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std. mark sheet (or 3 years Diploma Certificate) and cash or Demand Draft * (A single Demand Draft is sufficient for one or more Programme  for the required amount towards entrance test fee.

Registration through Tancet 2013 online application:

The candidates can also register through online on to www.annauniv.edu/tancet2013. The filled-in downloaded application along with the required demand draft and photocopies of certificates should be sent so as to reach The Secretary, TANCET on or before 28.02.2013, by 5.30 p.m. For these candidates hall tickets will be sent by post.

DD should Drawn in favor of The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University, payable at Chennai, obtained from any nationalized bank on or after 01.02.2013.

Candidates, who have completed their Degree or in the Final Year are eligible to apply for TANCET 2013. After Entry of your details, note down your Application Number for future reference. After taking print out paste your passport size photo, sign in the appropriate place, enclose a valid DD for the required fee amount and send it to " The Secretary, TANCET 2013, Examination Center  Anna University, Chennai-600 025" on or before 26-02-2013, 5.00 p.m.

Other State candidates including ST/SC/SCA will be classified only under 'OTHERS' category. ST/SC/SCA Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu only, must attach a photocopy of their Permanent Community Certificate with the application.
