Responsibilities:

This position will be part of the Service Engineering team that manages, maintains and supports production systems

Responsible for 24x7x365 uptime /availability of critical systems/applications.

Utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to diagnose/resolve system and application issues.

Drive incident and problem management activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional organizations (engineering, noc, site operations)

Document processes, systems, and their associated configurations

Participate in change and release management activities

Participate in a group pager rotation for weekly oncall duties, emergencies and act as 1st level of escalation.

The above responsibilities will require the need to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision within a dynamic environment.
Mandatory skills:

This position requires a dedicated individual who can work well in a team environment.
The candidate should have a B.S. in Computer Science (or related area of study) and 3-5 years of experience.
Effective oral and written communication skills are a must.
Experience with Unix administrative tasks is required.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with Unix shell (bash) scripting and Perl.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate skill in trouble-shooting techniques and problem diagnosis and resolution.
